The Ekal Vidyalaya operates on Rs. 16000/- a year. The EVF is able to maintain such a cost because it works with a low overhead budget and is supported by the villagers with whom it works. The Ekal Vidyalaya manages such a budget because it has few capital costs.

A typical schoolroom is the shade of large banyan tree or under the thatch of a village hut. The teachers, trainers, evaluators and other workers work for a minimal honorarium. Teaching materials such as a blackboard, chalk, and poster stands constitute a majority of the costs. Despite the size of the movement, Ekal Vidyalaya is committed to keeping overhead expenses below 10% of its total budget. There are several ways to support the Ekal Vidyalaya concept. You can adopt an Ekal Vidyalaya school for only for Rs. 16000/- per year. This Includes Health Education also. (5 year commitment preferred)

The Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of India's objective is to provide highly focused and undiluted attention to the movement. The EVFI has been established and registered as a charitable trust in New Delhi, India. The donation to EVFI are deductible U/S 80 G of Income Tax Act, 1961.
