Ekal Vidyalaya movement is progressing through one formula & that is ''Connectivity''. Ekal Tour is one of the tools to achieve the same.

Just sit down & think a while. Make a list of the problems being faced by our nation in particular & the world in general. Who is contributing towards these problems? Rich or Poor? Educated or illiterates? Effluent or deprived section of society? If we conclude honestly we will find the root cause for all the problems with urbanization.

To heal the problems, we will have to target the origin i.e. the urban dwellers. Now, how to address the problem? Lectures can never be the solutions, our experience says. Solution lies in the connectivity of the urban population with the cultural roots. In ancient time it was given the name ''Teerth Yatra'' (Pilgrimage).

In modern scenario, we are giving it the name '' Vanyatra'' also called Ekal Tour.

When we donate money for Ekal Vidyalaya, we say that we are sponsoring a school, but in fact we are adopting a village. The moment we think of adoption, it leads to emotional bonding. And once you are emotionally attached with someone/something, visit to that person/place becomes the necessity to strengthen the bond. In terms of Ekal Vidyalaya working, this visit to the village is given the name ''Ekal Tour''.

• Visit of any school / village.
• Minimum duration 10 hours to 15 hours from starting point.
• Minimum 15 days notice is required for the conduction of the tour.

• Visit to any village having Ekal Vidyalaya or related project. Night halt at village is compulsory .
• May be undertaken in group or individually.
• Minimum duration 24 hours to 48 hours from starting point.
• Minimum 15 days notice is required for the conduction of the tour.
• It may be Planned or requested . Planned vanyatra are pre scheduled whereas requested vanyatra may be scheduled as per the convenience of the person/ group.

• This aims for studying / evaluating Ekal Vidyalaya systems and working to have a better understanding about the Ekal Vidyalaya through exposure to actual field working.
• Only for volunteers / Karyakartas
• This is a part of Knowledge working course
• Duration of the study Tour is 1 to 4 weeks.
• Minimum 1month notice is required for the conduction of the tour.
• Food And Stay will be provided by Ekal Vidyalaya.

• This aims at understanding & evaluating the Ekal Vidyalaya system, working and its impact on village life specifically & on society and nation in general. At the end of the tour a thesis / research report is to be submitted by the person undertaking the tour.
• Minimum ten village (a sub-cluster / upsanch) is to be studied.
• Duration of Research Tour is 1 to 2 month.
• Minimum 2 month notice is required for the conduction of the tour..
• Food And Stay will be provided by Ekal Vidyalaya.

• This is for one person’s stay in any one the village having Ekal Vidyalaya to have a feel of the working of Ekal Vidyalaya and village culture.
• Minimum two nights stay in village is required.
• Minimum 15 days notice is required for the conduction of the tour..
• Food and stay will be provided by Ekal Vidyalaya

• This is for the family Excursion in any one or more villages having Ekal Vidyalaya. Apart from Ekal Vidyalaya visit nearby places of tourist interest may also be covered.
• This aims particularly for entertaining children in the family apart from giving them a feel of Ekal working.
• Duration of the tour is flexible depending upon the vacation available with the family undertaking the tour.
• Minimum 1 month notice is required for the conduction of the tour.

• This aims at blending the energetic mind and adventures attitude of young Indian and American youth with the tribal life and Ekal Vidyalaya concept.
• This involves tracking through five or six villages, understanding tribal life and challenges, open discussion about India and its current education system simultaneously with sight seeing of areas of tourist interest in the vicinity.
• Duration of this adventure tour is of two weeks.
1. First week is dedicated for tracking, sight seeing and discussing the above.
2. Second week is for teaching at any of the Ekal school.

• Mixing with Tribal Life.

• Exposure to Nature.

• Exposure to different aspect of Ekal Vidyalaya Working e.g., Training, Programme, Review Meeting, City Organisation.
• 7, 30, 365 days itinerary for Ekal Coordinator, Master, Expert Course.
• Practical Trainings of Ekal Vidyalaya Working.

• Attending different programmes of Ekal Vidyalaya e.g., Annual Function, Chapter Congregation.
• Invitation from Ekal Vidyalaya.
• Fixed date Itinerary.

• 7 days orientation programme along with school visit for NRI activist.
• Orientation of Ekal System, Donor Relation working, Social Impact.
• Programme organized in vacation days.
